FIrst Entry for Japanese Patterns (Creative Colouring for Grown-Ups)

In the risk of repeating myself, I will no longer mention what pens/pencils I use.. but also because I have forgotten them myself!

This post is the first entry for Japanese Patterns. I have two qualms with this book. One, the pages are not bound with thread, thereby causing two of its pages coming off from its binding. Secondly, the illustrations are done by non-Japanese. I learned a lesson here - always read detailed reviews before purchasing anything online!

Flowers - initially looked plain, but transformed after some colours!

Some cranes - simplistic versus complexity

ahh, well the bird ended up looking to purplish..

my personal favourite - the first colouring on the flowers - love the colour combination!

This is piece I used Koi brush pens which my friend lent me. The colors are vibrant and so beautiful! (very tempted to get a set myself....)

 Some bamboos...

Not my personal favourite...

And here is the rainbow collection! The best one goes to the rainbow waves!

Escape to Christmas Past - Dec 2015

So, I decided to group all my colourings from this book into one post. After all, I hardly write anything other than describing what pencils/pens that I have used for the colourings. This will be all from this book since Christmas is over! I will return to it this coming November/December (or earlier). I do like colouring this book since it is not as big as the conventional colouring books - which makes it easier and faster to complete.

A 2 penny coin from 1838 - I googled and this is really how the coin looks like, well, except for the colours. Used: Faber-Castell pencils, Muji brush pens, colour gel pens.
